Car for sale

Why is moving house such a pain? Not only am I moving house, I’m moving interstate! There’s so much extra work that comes with moving interstate. I guess it’s because there’s so much logistical planning involved. It’s not like you have your two homes twenty minutes apart and you can just spend a day doing laps between the two to move furniture over. I need to really plan what things I am taking, and what things I need to get rid of.

The biggest item I’m getting rid of is my second car. I hardly drive it and it will be a mission to get it to my new home, so I figured I might as well sell it. Who knew that there were so many obstacles involved. Before I chucked the car up online for sale, my dad told me that I need to get a car safety certificate. I don’t even know how to get a car safety certificate and nor do I have any time! It’s just another hassle added to my watch. My mind is so preoccupied looking up home movers, I have zero space in my day to start needing to look for a mechanic too!

Does anyone else’s life have this when it rains it pours tendency? I feel like things always choose to line up all at once for me. I’m never sorting only one thing at a time. It’s either all or nothing. Luckily, I have my dad in my life who is always willing to step in and help me out. He’s found a mechanic near Raceview that can do a check on my car.

My dad’s reassured me that I don’t need to stress too hard about selling my car before I move. He said he’s happy to take care of trying to sell it once I leave. While I’m happy with this compromise, I’m also worried that he’ll buy the car himself so then I can still have it when I come to visit. The man’s got enough cars already! He doesn’t need my car taking up space.
